WICHITA, KANSAS, JUNE 23, 2008 . . . Less than two weeks after San Diego-based McBride Electric announced that it would cease operations at its 58-year old Wichita branch, five of its former employees have joined the staff of Wichita-based Fahnestock Plumbing, HVAC & Electric.
“This is a win/win situation,” said Eric Fahnestock, president of Fahnestock. “It gives us tremendous additional capabilities in our electrical division, and it gives them the opportunity to stay in Wichita and practice their trade in the place they call home.”
The newest members of Fahnestock’s electrical services team include Bob McFadden, Allen Unrein, Brian Luff, Jake Beyer, and Allen Rader. Together they represent more than 70 years of experience in electrical sales, service and installation.
“Since adding our electrical contracting division 7 years ago, we’ve enjoyed tremendous growth in that area,” Fahnestock said. “The sudden availability of five experienced, highly qualified electricians fits perfectly with the increased demand in our business. And these individuals are known quantities, so it works out great all the way around.”
Fahnestock is a homegrown business founded in 1946 and currently operates under the fourth generation of management. The firm employs more than 200 technical, sales, management and support personnel.
